The Eastern Europe Business Association of Germany (Osteuropaverein) is the largest association of German business organisations operating in 29 countries of Central and Eastern Europe, South Eastern Europe, the Southern Caucasus and Central Asia.
The Association promotes the exchange of best practice and practical experience among its members and the exploration of business opportunities in these countries. In this capacity Osteuropaverein also represents the interests of German business vis-à-vis the German federal government and the governments of all 29 partner countries. Promoting trade and direct investment in the region, the Association works closely together with the other four regional associations of the German foreign trade and investment community, focusing on East Asia, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas respectively.
As the leading federation of German business for the entire region of Eastern Europe, the Southern Caucasus and Central Asia, the Association unites business organisations, large and small, of all industries. Members include major multinational business organisations as well as small and medium-sized familiy businesses from a wide range of industrial manufacturing, trade, or services backgrounds. The economic development of the members and the target countries is promoted through industry roundtables and working groups, conferences, seminars, publications, and a broad range of events across Germany every week.
